Majhira – A Peaceful and Proud Village
Majhira is a peaceful and friendly village that lies in the heart of rural Bangladesh.
Surrounded by nature, open skies, and green fields, Majhira is a place where people live close
to the land and close to each other. Life here is simple, but full of love, tradition, and
community spirit.
Education and Religion:
The village has one government primary school named Majhira Government Primary School. This
school plays an important role in educating the young children of the village. Alongside it, we
also have a religious institution called Riyazul Zannat Hafizia Madrasa, where students memorize
the Holy Quran and learn about Islamic teachings.
Religion is an important part of life in Majhira. There are six mosques in the village, which
serve as places of daily worship and community gathering. The sound of the azan (call to prayer)
fills the air five times a day, bringing a sense of peace and unity. There are also three
graveyards, which are respected and visited by villagers to remember and pray for their
ancestors.
Natural Beauty:
Majhira is blessed with beautiful natural features. A canal flows through the village, providing
water for farming and everyday use. There are also many ponds scattered across the village,
which are used for fish farming, bathing, and household activities. The green fields, tall
trees, and fresh air make Majhira a truly refreshing place to live.
Daily Life and Community:
The people of Majhira are known for being kind, honest, and hardworking. Most of the villagers
are involved in farming, small businesses, or labor work. There is a local market where people
buy and sell vegetables, fish, groceries, and other daily needs. The market is not only a place
for shopping but also a social spot where villagers meet and share news.
We also have coaching centers where students receive extra lessons to improve their studies, and
a medical store where people can buy medicines and health-related products. In addition, Majhira
has an old orphanage, showing the caring nature of our village community towards those in need.
Culture and Celebrations:
Majhira celebrates all major Islamic festivals like Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, and Milad-un-Nabi
with great joy. On Eid days, villagers gather at the Eidgah field for special prayers, and then
celebrate with family, food, and fun. These occasions bring everyone together and strengthen the
bond among us.
Our Pride:
Though small, Majhira is full of life and love. The unity, respect, and hospitality among its
people make it a special place. Every corner of this village tells a story of tradition, hard
work, and hope for a better future. We are proud to call Majhira our home.
